Surfactant-Modified Construction Waste Bricks for the Removal of Diclofenac from Aqueous Solutions

This study aimed to enhance the efficiency of construction waste bricks (PRBPs) in removing diclofenac (DFC) by preparing surfactant-modified (CCBPs) as adsorbents. The properties adsorbents were analyzed, and parameters related adsorption process examined. findings demonstrate that addition cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) significantly improved ability adsorb DCF. pH values affected behavior, with decreasing increased. followed pseudo-first-order kinetic equation, rate was fast. Langmuir model used fit isotherms. According thermodynamics, DCF onto both exothermic, it more favorable at lower temperatures. capacity CCBPs decreased sharply KCl concentration mechanism might be explained interplay π-π interaction, surface complexation, electrostatic interaction. offers a new method for micropollutants from aqueous solutions using bricks, thus extending scope their reuse applications.
